Brotherhood Scholarship has reached its 13th year.

Brotherhood Scholarship Fund 2015

Brotherhood Scholarship Fund has reached its 12^th year. For those who don't know what Brotherhood Scholarship Fund is- this is an initiative from some alumnus of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission College to help meritorious but needy students. We collect small contributions and hand them over to the college authorities. Contribution collected though this movement is normally spent on examination fees and other necessities of the students. This is continuing for last nine years and we have collected approximately Rs. 16 lakhs over these years. We have now started the collection for this year. If you wish to contribute, please let either one of us (Manna, Gautam or me) know. The bank details remain the same as last year. If you want, we can forward the detail once again. Like previous eleven years, this year too the minimum contribution ceiling has been kept at Rs 2,400/- However, as always, any amount is welcome.

BHS 2012: Final collection Rs. 188,758/

With great pleasure, we announce that we had another fantastic year of contributions for Brotherhood Scholarship Fund. 47 brothers came together to contribute a huge sum of Rs. 188,758/-

It has been possible only due to relentless support of all the well-wishers. We thank and congratulate all the contributors on this remarkable commitment and achievement. The total collected amount would soon be handed over to RKMR college authorities.

BHS 2012- update (21 June), Another 8 days to go

Hi All,
We are coming towards the end of this year's collection. So far Rs 168,818/- has been collected. We would collect till the end of the month (June 30th) before closing the account for this year. This is the last update for this years collection. Our next communication would be with the final amount collected.

BHS update 10th June

Here is an update on the collection for this year's Brotherhood Scholarship Fund. We have collected Rs 137,317/- till now. We would continue collection till 3rd week of June. Post which, the total amount would have handed over to RKM college authorities.

BHS fund- Update after one month

Dear All

One month into this years collection for Brotherhood Scholarship Fund, and we have got Rs. 85,566/- so far. here is the list of contributors for your reference. We would collect contribution for another three weeks before handing over the total sum to college authority.

BHS 2012- Ball starts rolling

Today we started the collection of contribution for the 9th Brotherhood Scholarship Fund. An email was sent to all 59 contributors from the last year. Also additional emails were sent to people who had contributed in the past, but could not do so last year or had previously expressed interest in this movement. All put together 124 fellow brothers have been contacted.

Dipankar has already send his contribution. He becomes the first contributor for this year. Very well done Dipankar. Satrajit had send an email yesterday, asking about the start date of this years collection. It was a great moment for the movement. We are very happy that contributors are proactively asking about it. This gives us confidence that we would be able to sustain this for the years to come. 

Lets hope for a successful year.

Brotherhood Scholarship Fund Rs 201,348/- (Receipt scan copy)

On Saturday Manna and Ananda had gone to Narendrapur and have handed over the drafts for this years total collection of Rs 201,348/- Total 59 brothers have contributed to raise this amount. I spoke to Satya da over phone on 1st August. He was very pleased with our effort and congratulated all of us.

 

He has also written a few lines to all of us. Attaching the scan copy of his letter. Also attaching the scan copy of the receipt from RKM. The final list of contributors are also attached.

Brotherhood Scholarship Fund 2011- Final collection: Rs 195,348/-

Collection for the "Brotherhood Scholarship Fund 2011" has come to an end. 57 of us have come together to collect Rs 195,348/- (Rupees One lakh Ninety five thousand Three hundreds and Forty eight only). This year, following Satya da's instruction, no individual follow up was done. Considering this aspect- this was one of the best ever effort by the team. (Last year 55 people had contributed 2.03 lakhs).

We sincerely thank all participants and congratulate on this great achievement. This year's effort has given us assurance that this movement is a sustainable one and can only grow from strength to strength from now on. Manna would soon arrange the draft and go to RKM meet Satya da and handover the same. Anyone who are interested accompanying Manna please liaise with him regarding dates etc.
